Mom

You were the angel that carries me when I trip and fall.

You feel more pain when I get hurt.

You cried even harder when you can’t give me the toy I wanted.

Those were the memories etched from my childhood.

As I walked towards the stagethe day I graduated, all I remembered were your calloused hands.

As I got accepted at my first job, your sweaty clothes after a day’s work was all I thought about.

As I receive my first salary, your face, tired and sleepy registered.

Let me return your sacrifices,

Maybe not as noble as what you did,

But full of love.

Happiest Birthday to you!
